Genre: Young Adult Paranormal, Romance
Sweet Peril is the second book to an angel series called The Sweet Trilogy. I read the the first book, Sweet Evil, a few months ago because I wanted a fun paranormal read and it was exactly what I needed at the time and I also wanted to try a book about angels and demons. It was not groundbreaking nor phenomenal but I highly enjoyed it. I was kind of disappointed at Sweet Peril though but I did like it. I found quite a few problems with it that made me enjoy it less than the first book. I found it a little slow and I was bored at some parts. I think the author could've done a lot more with the world she created. The main character, Anna, was also very annoying and immature sometimes and I didn't connect very well with her. There was a love triangle in this story but it did not bug me that much. Unlike love triangles in other books, the main character has her mind set on one guy only and did not give hope to the other guy so I don't think you should worry much about it. I still did like this book though and I enjoyed most of it. I loved the romance and the sweet moments shared by Anna and Kaidan, the love interest. I liked the character development. The writing is nothing special but it is very easy to read. I am still continuing on with the last book in this trilogy because overall, I enjoyed the books I have read so far and from the second book, you can see that the third book is going to be very exciting and interesting since the final "battle" is going to happen in it.
